Given the moody nature of the original series' score, it seems somewhat fitting that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has reportedly landed a role in the upcoming Twin Peaks reboot at Showtime, but he's not the only musician scheduled to take part.

Though the series isn't expected to surface until 2017, the creators have now posted a cast list via the show's social media pages and you'll find Reznor and some fellow musicians right there alongside original series favorites like Kyle McLachlan, Ray Wise, Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook and Sheryl Lee. Among the other musicians taking part are Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Reznor's wife and How to Destroy Angels bandmate Mariqueen Maandig. You'll also find Nine Inch Nails' Robin Finck, Sky Ferreira, Sharon Van Etten and Chromatics' Ruth Radelet among the names listed in the cast, but Chris Isaak, who appeared in the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me film, is not on the cast list.

Other notable additions to the cast from the acting world include Monica Bellucci, Jim Belushi, Michael Cera, Richard Chamberlain, Jeremy Davies, Laura Dern, Robert Forster, Balthazar Getty, Ernie Hudson, Ashley Judd, Robert Knepper, David Koechner, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Amanda Seyfried, Tom Sizemore, Ethan Suplee, Jessica Szohr, Naomi Watts, Charlyne Yi and Madeline Zima. The classic David Lynch series centered on an eccentric Pacific Northwestern town and the shocking death of the high school homecoming queen. With the help of an FBI agent (McLachlan), the mystery was soon solved, but many more secrets were unraveled in the process. The series picks up 25 years later, with fans anxiously awaiting to see what Lynch has in store.
