Last Saturday, three friends from Nooksack, Washington robbed two men, then came up with a brilliant plan to try to get away with it.

The Bellingham Herald reports the three men knew the cops would be looking for their getaway car, a green Nissan 240SX, so after the robbery they pulled over and quickly spray painted the car black.

But they forgot one thing, the license plates were still the same.

The police tracked them down and two of the men still had black spray paint on their hands.

The driver, 22-year-old Westley French, was arrested for felony eluding along with outstanding warrants for other robberies.  His buddies, 22-year-old Richard Genn and 24-year-old Gregory Carson, were arrested on robbery charges.
