The best thing and the worst about making 'The Lego Movie' is that there's never really been much of a narrative to Lego toys. You put them together, that's it. So the film could be about anything. And from the trailer, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller ('21 Jump Street') have fun with that freedom as we see the crossover of Lego toys from all different franchises assembled... for something.

Chris Pratt is the star of the movie and the trailer, which features Morgan Freeman as a wizard-like character named Vitruvius, Will Arnett as Batman and has appearances from Superman, Wonder Woman, The Mermaid, Green Ninja, "1980's-something Space Guy," and the 2002 NBA All-Stars. And that's just some of the cast that made the cut of the teaser. The movie also stars Will Ferrell as the film's bad guy (he's named President Business), Liam Neeson, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Elizabeth Banks.

'The Lego Movie' hits screens February 7, 2014, and it looks like it could be as charming as Lord and Miller's previous animated movie 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.' Here's the film's synopsis:

The 3D computer animated adventure tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
