A Texas high school teacher made headlines after a Snapchat video showed him recording a fight between two students instead of stopping it.

A teacher in McKinney, Texas has been placed on administrative leave after a student's Snapchat video showed him recording a fight between two students instead of stopping it. After a video was shared over 1,000 times on social media, a teacher at McKinney High School has been placed on administrative leave for not breaking up a fight between two students. The Snapchat video was initially seen on a student's Snapchat, then uploaded to Twitter User Chase M Bodin's account where it has been seen and shared thousands of times. In the video you can see student's laughing and recording a fight between two students, as well as the teacher who is seen recording the fight.

McKinney ISD spokesman Cody Cunningham said that the teacher seen in the video has been placed on administrative leave after the video was made public:

"The incident was reported on Wednesday, and the teacher was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The teacher remains on leave at this time. It is the district's policy for teachers to make every attempt to stop, or at a minimum deescalate, any altercation between students. The teacher's actions, or lack thereof, are clear violations of district expectations and policies."

District officials are investigating the matter and also have said that the two students in the video have also been disciplined after the fight.
