Machine Head have found their new bassist! After the group parted ways with longtime bassist Adam Duce, Machine Head allowed the public to audition for a chance to act as the band's touring bassist for the entire duration of the 2013 Mayhem Festival. After months of searching, bassist Jared MacEachern has finally been given the gig.

Machine Head are working on new music, but it's a steady pace as the band has yet to name their replacement for longtime bassist Adam Duce. Frontman Robb Flynn spoke at length about their current progress in his latest online journal entry and also revealed that the search for a new bassist has been narrowed to eight.

Machine Head are getting closer to rounding out their lineup for their summer's Mayhem Festival. The group revealed that they've completed the submission process to fill their vacant bassist slot and are taking the next step.
