I told my little one that National Take Your Kids To Work Day was coming up and her response was, what is that? I explained how it is a day for littles to go to work with mom or dad and see what it is they do for a living? She immediately said, 'no thank you that would be boring.' Excuse you? Do you know who your mother is? Do you know what I do? lol Yes, I was offended by my 8-year-old!
Mother's Day is less than 10 days away. Can you believe it? I swear it was just lovers day (Valentine's Day) last week. It seems that way anyway, time flies when you're having fun. So as I mentioned before, Mother's Day, have you thought about what you are getting mom this year? Or are you getting mom anything at all?
Ok, so this girl is all about a 'tax-free' anything. Single mom, trying to cut corners when possible, save a few cents, etc., etc. In August, right before school starts, we get a tax-free weekend where things like backpacks, school supplies, school clothes, and so on and so forth have no sales tax for that one weekend.
Are you a mom like me and wish there were 3 of you so you could be everywhere at all times? During the holidays, I want my kids to experience every cool holiday happening around town. The Christmas markets, breakfasts with Santa, pictures with Santa and the lighted Christmas parades.
This year's Capitol Hill Christmas tree will be from New Mexico and they need your help decorating with all things wonderful about the Land of Enchantment!
Not enough kids come by and you're stuck with extra Halloween candy? Did your kids already eat enough sweets to ruin their teeth? Turn the extra candy into cash!
