GWAR lives!!! The metal world recently mourned the death of GWAR frontman and mastermind Dave Brockie while pondering the future of the intergalactic act. Now, it seems like we might have the answer, as GWAR have announced that they will perform at the fifth annual GWAR-B-Q.
Fellow measly humans, GWAR have just announced the release of a limited edition 'Throbblehead' set featuring guitarist Balsac the Jaws of Death and immortal frontman Oderus Urungus. Only 1000 of these sets will be made and a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Dave Brockie Fund.
Following the death of GWAR frontman Dave Brockie in March, the 5th annual GWAR-B-Q will still go on, and will serve as a tribute to Brockie and the iconic Oderus Urungus character he created.
