Anthrax’s Scott Ian Joins Volbeat Onstage for Performance of ‘Pool of Booze, Booze, Booza’

If there was any doubt left that Anthrax amicably parted ways with guitarist Rob Caggiano, this video will likely erase it. Caggiano now mans the guitar for Danish rockers Volbeat, and during the band's Sept. 16 gig in Los Angeles, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian was invited onstage to perform the Volbeat track 'Pool of Booze, Booze, Booza,' which was preceded by a small piece of Anthrax's 'I Am the Law.'

Anthrax Commence Work on New Album

It's official: Anthrax are working on the follow-up album to 2011's 'Worship Music.' This should come as great relief to fans, as they waited eight years between 'We've Come For You All' and the most recent disc. As we all know, turmoil surrounded the band during those years and things within the Anthrax camp have since stabilized, allowing the band to get back to a regular album and tour cycle.

If you were to ask any given metalhead who they thought the greatest metal band of all time is, the answer would often be Black Sabbath or Metallica. However, in the very valid opinion of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, that distinction goes to Iron Maiden, who were recently presented with the Inspiration Award at the 2013 Kerrang! Music Awards. Ian was given the honor of passing on the award to Maiden and the bearded Anthrax strummer just shared a transcribed version of his passionate speech from the awards ceremony.
