Mark Tremonti is currently winding down the latest North American tour leg for his self-titled band, and Alter Bridge are about to become his primary focus. The guitarist tells Billboard that after meeting briefly earlier this year, the band is ready to resume work on a new disc and has the beginnings of the effort in place.

The man of many bands, guitarist Mark Tremonti, will be the special guest on this weekend's Loudwire Radio show with host Mike 'Sandman' Sanders. The rocker took the time to discuss his solo band, Creed and Alter Bridge.

After recently announcing that they would be releasing their fourth album in 2013, the members of Alter Bridge have now started working on the new disc.

Guitar great Mark Tremonti may have spent a good amount of 2012 engrossed in supporting his first solo album, but it looks like 2013 is all systems go for Alter Bridge.
