Survey Says: The Top Ten Self-Imposed Drinking Rules
A new survey found most people have rules for drinking to prevent themselves from becoming a total lush, possibly.
According to Ask.com, here are the top ten self-imposed drinking rules according to the survey:
- Not drinking at lunch, 22%.
- Only buying cheap wine, 21%.
- Not drinking on a work night, 19%.
- Waiting until a certain time of day to have your first drink, like never drinking before five o'clock, 18%.
- Not drinking certain things unless it's during the holidays, 17%.
- Never mixing beer and liquor, 16%.
- Only drinking wine with dinner, 15%. It's not clear if that one means only drinking when you're eating, or not drinking hard liquor with dinner.
- Always having a local beer when you're on vacation, 14%.
- Avoiding a certain drink you got hammered on once, 11%.
- Waiting until Friday evening to have your first drink, 10%.
