A new study found the average person spends $70,000 on alcohol in their lifetime.

According to Daily Mail, the study was based on the average U.S. life expectancy, they determined you have 58 years from when you turn 21 until you die, so $70,000 averages out to $100 a month on alcohol.

But $70,000 is just the average.

Since there are plenty of people who don't drink, that means there have to be some extreme cases on the other end pulling the average up, and there are.

About 2% of people spend almost triple the average, or over $200,000 in their lifetime on alcohol.

The study also found men spend a few hundred more dollars per year on alcohol than women.

So that means that if only you weren't a drinker, right now you could easily afford a pimped out Mercedes.  But considering many of us credit our sex lives almost exclusively to alcohol, it's totally worth it.
