Survey Says: Sharing Your Netflix Account is the New Relationship Barometer
Back in the day, the signs you were in a relationship was when you gave a girl your class ring to wear around her neck, boy have times changed.
According to Refinery29.com, a new survey by Netflix found 51% of people now say a great sign their relationship is serious is when they share their Netflix password.
Why is it such a big deal? It gives the other person a wide open look at everything you've ever watched and it lets their tastes influence what Netflix recommends.
On that note, 17% of people say they wouldn't share their Netflix password until they were engaged. "Waiting until marriage" sure does have a different definition in 2016 than it used to years ago.
The survey also found 25% of people find someone more attractive if they have similar tastes in TV and movies, and 65% of couples have negotiations over what shows to binge watch.
