If you find yourself saying "um" or "uh" a lot, don't worry.

According to Jezebel, a new study out of the University of Texas found that people who use verbal ticks like "um," "uh," "like," and "you know" are actually more caring and thoughtful than people who don't.

The reason is that those people are using those words to pause and think about what they are saying, and also to make sure the person you are talking to understands what you are saying and isn't offended by it.

So no need to worry about those verbal ticks anymore.
