Suitcase Prison Escape Botched When Inmate Proved to be Too Heavy

A Venezuelan inmate convicted for murder left almost nothing to chance in his plan to escape.  

He contorted his 5-foot-3-inch body into a suitcase and hired an accomplice to wheel him out.

The accomplice he hired was a woman he paid to pull him out of the prison but it all went wrong when the woman could not handle his weight.

Prison guards investigated when they saw the woman struggling to get the luggage up a flight of steps and found the murderer in the luggage half-naked with his head folded between his knees.

Suitcases are now banned at all Venezuelan prisons.
