While Sublime With Rome will continue the Sublime legacy on tour with the Offspring this summer, there's plenty of other Sublime-related projects that will keep the band's name prominent as well. According to Rolling Stone, the band is discussing a pair of movies and they've also lent their approval to a new "40 Oz. to Freedom" lager that will be hitting the market.

The band has reportedly authorized a new documentary that is receiving the full cooperation of Bud Gaugh, Eric Wilson and Bradley Nowell's estate that will tell their "real" story. The film is currently in production. Meanwhile, the group is reportedly in advanced negotiations for a potential biopic on their history.

As for the new beer, the group has teamed up with the San Diego-based AleSmith Brewing Company to create the Mexican-style lager. The "40 Oz. to Freedom" beer will be sold as a limited edition batch through the brewery and additional to-be-determined locations before it is offered nationally in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.

"It doesn’t taste like anything else," Gaugh said in a statement. "The flavor is great and it has a craft beer flare with a true Mexican lager taste. This is the one!" Nowell's widow Troy Holmes added, "Being a beer lover, I'm so proud to partner with an elite world-class brewery like AleSmith and I know Sublime fans will absolutely love it! Like Bradley sang, 'That second beer was such a turn-on.'"

There's one other piece of Sublime news, as the band has decided to offer their 1995 Badfish EP on vinyl for the first time as a Record Store Day promotion. The vinyl includes the original album versions of "Badfish" and "Don't Push," live versions of "Untitled Dub" and "We're Only Gonna Die for Our Arrogance" and the additional track "Roots of Creation." If you're a Sublime fan, be sure to look for the Badfish EP on vinyl in participating stores on April 22 as part of Record Store Day.
