In this edition of Stupid Criminals we find a pair of criminals who have seen one too many movies and tried to make their escape by tying sheets together.

According to the Huffington Post, two criminal masterminds in jail in Louisville, Kentucky named Matthew Johnson,29 and Christopher Cornelius, 37 hatched a daring plan to break out on Monday night.

They are both doing time due to drug charges.

First, they somehow made it to the roof of the minimum security prison where they are locked up, then they tried to climb down four stories using the old 'rope-made-out-of-bed-sheets' routine.

Johnson actually made it a couple floors down before one of the knots tying the bed sheets together came loose and he fell 20 feet, hurting his ankle and his back.

But he was alive, so he took off running.

Cornelius chickened out at that point, and they busted him on the roof.  Unfortunately for Johnson, a worker had seen him climbing down and called the police.

He didn't get too far anyway because of his injuries.  An officer found him hiding in a car the next morning, took him in, and now he's in the hospital.

All this happened because he didn't pay attention at camp, and sucks at tying knots.
