Stupid Criminals: A Man Gets Caught Shoplifting When His Car Gets Repossessed in the Parking Lot

In this edition of Stupid Criminals we find a guy who gets caught shoplifting when his car is repossessed in the parking lot while he is shoplifting.

According to the Chicago Tribune, 25-year-old Che Hearn of Zion, Illinois went to a Walmart last week and shoplifted a few hundred bucks worth of electronics.

But when he went outside to drive away, he found his car was missing because it had been repossessed while he was inside.

So he dropped all the stuff he had stolen and took off running.

But the police tracked him down by the side of the road and arrested him.

Police also checked with the repo company, and found they really had taken his getaway car.  They had followed him to the Walmart and took his car as soon as he went inside.

Moral of this story: If you are going to shoplift at least pay your car payments with some of the money you get from selling off the items.
