In this edition of Stupid Criminals, we find a man who runs and flags down police to tell them he did not rob the house that just got robbed, even though he was the one that robbed it.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, 35-year-old Antonio Smith broke into a house in Riviera Beach, Florida on Sunday.  He pulled a knife on the guy inside and stole three cell phones then ran off.

So the police rushed over to investigate, and as they were passing Antonio on the street, he flagged them down because he wanted to tell them he hadn't just robbed the house.

Obviously that made them incredibly suspicious.

Basically, this guy didn't understand the concept underpinning the phrase "he who smelt it, dealt it."

Then the police found one of the stolen phones on him, so he was arrested.

He's been charged with home invasion and grand theft.
