Stupid Criminals: A Man Assaults His Online Girlfriend When She Doesn’t Look Like Her Profile

In this edition of Stupid Criminals we find a man who assaults his online girlfriend when she shows up, and doesn't look like her profile.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, 33-year-old Cornelius Jefferson of Monroe, Georgia has been in an online relationship with a woman from London, Kentucky.

Earlier this month, he moved to Kentucky so he could be with her, even though they had never met.

But when he got there, they immediately got into an argument because he didn't think she looked like she did in her profile photos.

Things escalated and Jefferson wound up choking her, then grabbing his suitcases and heading back to Georgia.

He was quickly arrested about seven miles away from the woman's house, and is now being charged with assault.
