In this edition of Stupid Criminals, we find a fugitive that decides to show up in a low budget horror movie as the bad guy, and gets caught.

According to The Olympian, 44-year-old Jason Strange of Olympia, Washington was sentenced to 10 years in prison for armed bank robbery back in 2006.  He got out on probation last year, but disappeared from his halfway house and he's been a fugitive ever since.

Fast forward to last week.  A low-budget horror movie called "Marla Mae" was shooting in Olympia and the local newspaper did a big story on it, including lots of photos.

Strange was in those photos and identified by his full name in the captions.  Apparently he had gotten himself cast as the bad guy in the horror movie, a producer says he, "really nailed the audition."

But thanks to the article, the police knew where to find Strange and they arrested him just after the film wrapped when he left the set to buy some cigarettes.

They let him return his costume to the producers before they took him to jail.
