'Black Heart,' a new song from Stone Temple Pilots' upcoming EP 'High Rise,' has been unveiled via iHeartRadio (listen below). Like the rest of the EP that's due to be released Oct. 8, the tune features vocals from the band's new singer, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington.

The song has a retro vibe, a memorable main riff and seems destined for a lot of radio airplay. It could easily follow 'Out of Time,' the EP's first single, to the top of the Mainstream Rock chart.

Bennington's addition to the band has been a welcome one for bassist Robert DeLeo. He says, “It’s been great. It’s been a huge breath of fresh air, a lot more sanity, a lot more reasoning, and patience.”

STP are currently on tour with Filter. They have also announced they'll be part of Australia's annual Soundwave Festival, which takes place in late February and early March of next year.
