Smoke Alarm Causes Summons to be Issued

Good news for homeowner William Korach, there was not a fire at his Whitehall, Pennsylvania home, but he is now facing charges by police who came to check out the fire alarm coming from his residence.

Police responded to his smoke alarm going off and discovered the device had been set off by marijuana smoke.  Officers reported smelling marijuana smoke coming from inside upon arriving at Korach’s residence.

Korach admitted to smoking pot and police recovered a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons for possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia, but luckily was not arrested.
