Monday night, Meryl Davis and Charlie White were the first U.S. ice dancing team to ever win gold. So now there are only six events that our country has never won a gold medal in the Winter Olympics.

According to Yahoo Sports, the six winter events the U.S is missing a gold medal are:

  1. Figure skating pairs.
  2. Curling.
  3. Biathlon.
  4. Cross-country skiing.
  5. Ski jumping.
  6. Luge.

There are also six Summer Olympic events where the U.S. has not won any medals in:

  1. Field hockey.
  2. Table tennis.
  3. Modern pentathlon.
  4. Rhythmic gymnastics.
  5. Team handball.
  6. Badminton.
