It was all about the jam at Mountain Jam in Hunter Mountain, N.Y., earlier this month, and you can give it up to Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds for providing one of the event's more buzzed about performances.

The group busted out what amounted to two covers in one when they performed a live mash-up of Led Zeppelin's 'Rock and Roll' sung with the musical backing of Rage Against the Machine's 'Bulls on Parade.' Add in frontwoman Arleigh Kincheloe's soulful and funky delivery and you've got the perfect homage to the blues-drenched funk that both original tracks were no doubt influenced by.

Check out the performance, which was greeted with a rousing round of cheers as the set closer, in the player featured above. To learn more about Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, check out their website here and catch them on tour at these locations.
