Is a Velvet Revolver reunion tour in our future? Possibly. Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland said that he doesn’t have any beef with Slash, who has vocally opposed a reunion with Weiland in the past, and that he “wouldn’t be opposed to, at some point doing a reunion tour” with Velvet Revolver.

This news all came during an interview on the Bay Area rock station 107.7 The Bone’s, 'Lamont And Tonelli Show' and Weiland went on to state, “That's just coming from my perspective, though. I know there's been a little banter before. And he was doing his own solo project, so he defused that. But, you know … That's the thing about rock and roll: you never can say never."

Weiland has made a few overtures in recent years to play with Velvet Revolver again and even played a one-off date, but most of his talk has been rebuffed by Slash. Just last July, the singer told a French Canadian newspaper that he had called the guys and suggested doing some shows together. He added though, "We are on good terms, but I do not want to be a member of Velvet Revolver full time. If possible, I would like to only play at festivals, you know, to make easy money."

Soon after, Slash responded, “I can see Scott coming back, but I can’t see anybody accepting him. That’s sort of the case. It’s not a big deal and I don’t want to bad mouth Scott or anything. The whole thing is we’re looking for another guy to replace him. It just hasn’t happened."

In the meantime, Weiland will be keeping busy. He recently announced he’ll release a new album called ‘Blaster,’ with his backing band The Wildabouts, on March 31. Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts kick off a tour on Feb. 22 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
