Dec. 8, 2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Pantera / Damageplan guitarist ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott‘s tragic death. In remembrance of the guitar great, we’ve spoken to rock and metal’s greatest musicians to gather stories and testimonies of admiration towards the immortal shredder.

In the video above, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis reflects on the generosity and the style of the late great Dimebag Darrell. Davis calls the musician "a great guy," and recalls that he was always forthcoming with an invite to hang at Dime's clubhouse anytime the band was in Dallas.

The vocalist also makes a bold statement about Dimebag's influence on Korn, explaining, "He's one of the greatest guitar players ever. I mean if there was no Dimebag Darrell, there would be no Korn."
