A New Jersey police officer was surprised to watch a passenger in the car next to him stopped at a light loading a cigar with marijuana.

According to local media, 21-year-old Christopher Bayel didn't notice Officer Craig Grauerholz next to him in his patrol car as he crafted the blunt.

The driver, a 20-year-old woman, spotted to cop car and nudged Bayel who reportedly did a very unconvincing job of innocence.

When the suspect's car was pulled over, Beyel denied that it was a blunt, but police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia when they searched the vehicle after the driver's consent.

The blunt was found stuffed between the seat and center console.  Beyel was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and released pending his upcoming court date.
