This isn't just another Best of YouTube video; this is one of the greatest things to ever happen. Before he was 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott, 'Diamond' Darrell Abbott was shredding on his beloved Dean ML in his teens.

According to the YouTube details attached to this clip, Darrell Abbott was only 18 when this video was recorded in 1984. Pantera's independent debut, 'Metal Magic,' was released in 1983, so the album was already available. The band's 1984 sophomore album, 'Projects in the Jungle,' may have also been out when this was shot.

If any part of you doubts that Darrell Abbott could shred with the best of them, this video will change your mind. Along with blistering solos and huge whammy bar bends, Abbott blasts through five-finger tapping. You can plainly see the essence of fellow guitar greats Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads in this seven-minute video, plus some atmospheric grit that the man later known as 'Dimebag' made his own.
