It's hard to believe it's only been a year since Jeff Hanneman's passing-- to be honest, it feels more like five years, that's how much he is missed. I remember going to the Golden Gods Awards last year and as people were filing in word of his passing broke and spread like wildfire. It was something nobody wanted to believe but it became readily apparent this was not a rumor and that sick feeling in the pit of our collective stomach swelled and ached as reality hit.

It goes without saying that Jeff's style and legacy have not only influenced countless bands, but all of us, the Slayer faithful who can't help but throw horns from the couch, behind the steering wheel, at our desks, or wherever we might be when the first riffs of our favorite Slayer tune ring out and won't be denied. We miss you Jeff.
