As Motley Crue prepare to ride off into the sunset, bassist Nikki Sixx has signed with SESAC to further his songwriter representation. Sixx has penned 22 charting songs with Motley Crue including 'Kickstart My Heart,' 'Home Sweet Home,' 'Girls Girls Girls' and more.

“I am excited about joining SESAC,” said Sixx. “They are very proactive in pursuing opportunities for their artists and progressive with how they do their work, employing all kinds of new technologies. I anticipate a long, fruitful relationship.”

SESAC is a performing rights organization that has been around since 1930. They are involved in music licensing and royalty collection and distribution.

In other Nikki Sixx news, the Seahawks fan vowed to play a song naked onstage if his team lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Patriots ended up winning after the Seahawks decided to pass when they were on New England's one yard line on the verge of scoring the go-ahead touchdown and quarterback Russell Wilson threw an interception.


Final Tour' resumes July 22. The Aug. 15 show in Worcester, Mass. where there are plenty of Patriots fans might be the perfect time to do it.

In a music-related tweet, Sixx says that Sixx: A.M. have begun rehearsing for their upcoming tour with Apocalyptica. The trek in support of the 'Modern Vintage' album kicks off April 8 in San Francisco.
