Here's a surprise that every Motorhead fan would salivate over. During Motorhead's Nov. 6 performance in Birmingham, England, the band invited former drummer Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor and guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke back onto the stage to jam 'Ace of Spades.'

Old school Motorhead fans will remember the duo well. Taylor and Clarke shared the stage together with Motorhead from 1976-1982. Clarke had just one run with the band, but Taylor put in nearly 15 years with Motorhead, manning the kit from 1975-1984 and yet again from 1987-1992.

Phil Taylor didn't actually play 'Ace of Spades' with Motorhead, opting to say a quick hello to the crowd instead. Clarke, on the other hand, picked up his axe to bring the "world's loudest band" to insane decibel levels.

The story goes that Eddie Clarke quit Motorhead in 1982 after objecting to a cover of the country classic 'Stand by Your Man' with Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics. However, Clarke tells Classic Rock Revisited otherwise. “Everyone else says I left, not me! It is funny how I am still a little raw about the whole thing of not being in Motorhead anymore," says Clarke. "Some things you just don’t get over. I had imagined dying onstage with Motorhead, so it was a blow when they did not want me in the band any longer.”
