Police say an Illinois mother fired multiple gunshots into her 50-inch flat-screen television while her three children were watching a Primus video on the set. Jennifer Ullery, 40, pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges of felony reckless discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor charges of child endangerment and possession of a firearm without a FOID (firearm owner identification) card.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Algonquin Deputy Police Chief Andrew Doles had this to say about the crime, "A music video by Primus set mom off and she opened fire.” He continued, "Further investigation showed Ullery had fired the rifle at the television, due to the amount of time that her three children ... spend watching the television. There were no physical injuries reported or observed as a result of this incident."

The exact Primus music video being shown on the TV during the alleged shooting has not been reported. The group released their eighth studio album, Primus & the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble, back in October of 2014. It's a re-imagining of the soundtrack of the classic ‘70s children’s movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory from the classic lineup of the band: frontman Les Claypool, guitarist Larry Lalonde and drummer Tim ‘Herb’ Alexander. The group will be touring the U.S. in April and May of this year, before heading to Europe and the U.K. in June.

As for the mother and her kids, Ullery’s three children were taken by the Department of Children and Family Services and placed with a family member, until Ullery was released from custody pending her trial.
