Before a recent Puscifer gig, frontman Maynard James Keenan met up with female UFC bantamweight Cat Zingano to work on some MMA drills. The duo actually used Puscifer’s lucha libre wrestling ring to practice takedowns, which was filmed and posted online.

Puscifer are currently touring North America on the band’s 'Money Shot, Round 2' tour. The act has brought a one-of-a-kind stage show on the road with them, setting up a professional wrestling ring onstage and treating fans to high flying lucha libre before and during Puscifer’s set. Maynard Keenan and Carina Round both perform vocals inside the ring during shows, but Keenan found another use for the squared circle.

Cat Zingano posted a clip of Maynard demonstrating a trip from a tie up into half guard:

Cat Zingano was undefeated in her mixed martial arts record until facing Ronda Rousey at UFC 184. Her quest for the women’s bantamweight championship ran into a road block after Rousey tapped her out in just 14 seconds.

Puscifer still have plenty of gigs left on the act’s current North American run, so check out the full list of dates here.
