In a new interview, Marilyn Manson says his recent role in ‘Sons of Anarchy’ helped him prepare for any potential prison time. He also shares his thoughts on the recent terrorist attack in Paris, saying it should serve as a "wake-up call."

The shock rocker recently sat down with The AV Club for an interview, and he said that he learned what it takes to be ready for prison, if the situation should arise. “When I was doing 'Sons of Anarchy' I thought, ‘You know what? If I get arrested, I want to make sure I’m not on the receiving end of what my character does,’ so I’ll make sure I’m tough,” explains Manson. “Because I will probably be a hot piece of ass in jail… because, you know, they might say, ‘I’m gonna make that guy my bitch.’ So I want to make sure I’ve got my buttocks real strong, and my punching fist real strong, too.” He concluded, “In the event that I get arrested, which I don’t plan on doing, because I like to commit crimes that are unnoticeable by the law."

Manson also shared his viewpoint on the recent terrorist attack in Paris, in which a number of the staff at the satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine were slain. He explained that the attack “should be a wake-up call,' adding, “I can’t say they didn’t ask for it. It’s kind of a dumb idea to do something like that ... I’m not saying they deserved it. I’m just saying, personally, would I f--king make fun of a terrorist group? Absolutely not.”

The man responsible for ‘Antichrist Superstar’ and ruffling so many feathers during his career shared something he learned along the way. “Words are just words. But to some people, they’re not just words,” Manson said, “When they’re very fundamentalist, and whether it be Christian or Islamic or whatever it is, some people cannot take jokes. And those are the people that you pretty much avoid making jokes about. That’s what I’ve learned.”
