Respect and compromise are probably two main things for a strong marriage, and this relationship obviously could use a more of both.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that 59-year-old Avelino Garon got into an argument with his wife earlier this month over whose turn it was to clean out their cat's litter box.

Apparently the two had been fighting all day and the kitty litter thing just pushed Garon over the edge.

He threatened to throw the cat against the wall and then grabbed a knife and threatened his wife with it.

When police showed up, Garon told them he had not done anything wrong because it was his wife's turn to clean the litter box.

He was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and later released on $1,000 bail.
