A Florida man is slapped with several felony charges for stealing manhole covers in the city of Poinciana.  

The man is charged with stealing 166 manhole covers across the city, leaving dangerous gaping holes according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The manhole covers are estimated to be worth about $22,000 each and were allegedly attempted to be sold by the perpetrator to scrap metal dealers.

The man was charged with one count of grand theft, one count of dealing in stolen property, and one count of giving false verification to a secondhand metal dealer, according to SunSentinel.com.

The latest arrest marks the man's sixth trip to the Polk County Jail since October 2011.
