Last month,  played the Rock in Rio USA festival in Las Vegas. During their set they played the song "A Line in the Sand" live for the first time. It's the closing track on their latest album Hunting Party.

The band has released a new behind-the-scenes video that you can watch above. It features Linkin Park practicing the song at their rehearsal space, talking about playing the track during the ride to the venue and parts of the actual performance at Rock in Rio USA. You can watch them play the entire song live at the festival below.

Linkin Park have played countless festivals during their career, but in an interview with Loudwire, we asked  about the first time he went to a festival as a fan. He said, "My first festival experience as a fan was Lollapalooza. This may not have been the first first one that I’d been to, but it was definitely at the time one of the more memorable things I’d seen. It was that year that Lollapalooza had Ice Cube … I think it was Ice Cube and Ministry. They were really pushing it as far as a genre-bending lineup."

Shinoda continues, "And I remember going to that show and personally loving so many of those bands, in particular Ice Cube and Ministry, and feeling like the crowd was going to boo if you were there to see one instead of the other and it didn’t go down that way. I saw a stereotypical big biker dude … big, big dude … get up on his seat and cheer for Ice Cube and that was one of those moments that was really like a definitive moment for me in my musical listening identity."

Speaking of festivals, Linkin Park are one of the headliners for the inaugural Loudwire Music Festival that will be held June 26-28 in Grand Junction, Colo. Other bands on the bill include Rob Zombie, Weezer, A Day to Remember, Halestorm, Chevelle, Hinder, All That Remains, Nothing More, Hoobastank, Bobaflex, Theory of a Deadman, In This Moment and more.

The band also has shows lined up in Canada, Mexico, China and Europe this summer. In November they'll be headlining the Monster Mash in Arizona. For all their dates, go here.
