When was the last time your NFL team had a tie game? Have they even had a tie game ever in their history? Well I have researched it and found out the answer for you.

All information compiled courtesy of the NFL.

Only three teams have never played a game that ended in a tie: Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Seattle Seahawks.

The graph below is set to the longest time since a team's last tie to the most recent.

The two teams with the longest time since their last tie game have not had a tie game in the current post AFL-NFL merger time period which began with the 1970 season: The AFL's Patriots (then known as the Boston Patriots) and the NFL's Cowboys, both ties dating back to the late 1960's.

Here are the top five teams that have had the most tie games in their history:

  1. Chicago Bears - 42
  2. Arizona/St. Louis/Chicago Cardinals - 39
  3. Green Bay Packers - 37
  4. New York Giants - 33
  5. Detroit Lions - 32
