If you took on the challenge of getting in better shape as your new year's resolution, here are three lame excuses for slacking off.

According to BroBible, here are the top three lame excuses for not working out:

  1. "I don't have time."  If you have kids or a crazy schedule, it might be hard to make time.  But you can get a good workout in your living room in 30 minutes.
  2. "It hurts."  Which is basically another way of saying, "I don't like it, because it's hard."  Unless you have an actual injury.  In that case, see a doctor, but most of the time you just have to push through the pain, and it starts to get easier.  And as you get stronger, it starts to hurt less and less.
  3. "I'm too exhausted."  Which again is like saying, "I don't like it, because it's hard."  But the irony is that exercise gives you MORE energy.

When you work out, your body sends more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, and makes your cardiovascular system work better.  Which gives you more endurance, and more energy in general.
