There has been much speculation about whether or not it is Lamb of God's Chris Adler playing on the new Slipknot song 'The Negative One,' and a pretty cryptic comment on his potential involvement on the song during a recent interview only stirred the pot a little bit more. But Adler is now clarifying that it is not him playing drums with Slipknot.

When initially speaking with ABC, Adler stated, "Right now I think silence is golden. Right now I don't think those guys need me, or need me talking about it. You know, I listened to it and I thought it sounded a little bit like me, too. At the moment, I just don't recall doing it. I'm getting texts and emails and phone calls about it. [But] for the moment, I don't know anything about it."

After playing into the band's secrecy for a bit, Adler is now coming clean, stating that he didn't play on the song. He issued the following statement on his Facebook page:

I've received even more questions about my involvement with Slipknot since the ABC interview I did recently. The interview was originally about my new whiskey bar, but of course took a turn into the gossip of the day. As I told her, I've had and have nothing to do with it. I'm flattered with the association and comparisons, but I have no involvement in their record.

So the mystery remains. With Joey Jordison no longer part of Slipknot, who is the pounding the skins for the band? Only time will tell.
