This past week came the 'How I Met Your Mother' news that Wayne Brady would reprise his role as Barney's half-brother James Stinson for a modest chunk of the long-running CBS comedy's final season, but it appears the September premiere will boast another famous face. 'The View' co-host and '30 Rock' star Sherri Shepherd will guest in season premiere "The Locket," but as whom, you ask?

Shepherd herself revealed the casting over Twitter, photographing herself on set with co-star Jason Segel, though the talk show host offered no details of her role. However, a previous casting call saw producers looking to fill the role of "Camille," an African-American or Latina female in her 30s or 40s who tires of Marshall’s “erratic” behavior on the plane from Minnesota, getting both kicked off and leaving Marshall in need of another route to the Farhampton wedding.

Given the photo and production reports, it seems easy enough to connect the dots.

So far CBS and executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have played ‘HIMYM’s’ final year close to the chest, though we know that season 9 will take place largely across the 56-hour period leading up to Barney and Robin’s wedding, at which Ted finally meets his bride-to-be. The network also revealed that all four regulars would meet the mother (herself a newly-minted regular) prior to Ted, while individual episodes may cut back and forth through time as necessary to tell the complete story.

We'll learn more about the final season (and maybe even see some footage) from the 'HIMYM' gang's first and only appearance at Comic-Con 2013, but what say you? Do you think the final year of 'How I Met Your Mother' is shaping up?
