The lineup for the 2017 Houston Open Air festival has just been announced, and it's led by Five Finger Death Punch, Prophets of Rage, Marilyn Manson and Stone Sour. The two-day rock and metal event takes place Oct. 14 & 15 at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.

Last year's inaugural Houston Open Air fest was plagued by severe weather warnings resulting from high winds and nearby lightning strikes, forcing the cancellation of several Saturday acts and the entire Sunday lineup. Organizers have come back strong with a stacked lineup for both days this year.

Joining FFDP and Marilyn Manson on the Saturday lineup (Oct. 14) will be Halestorm, In This Moment, Gojira, Of Mice & Men, Beartooth, Starset, Avatar, Code Orange, New Years Day, Greta Van Fleet and While She Sleeps.

Along with Prophets of Rage and Stone Sour, Sunday's lineup (Oct. 15) will feature Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, Steel Panther, Zakk Sabbath, August Burns Red, Power Trip, Radkey, DED, Black Map and Palisades.

Danny Wimmer, founder of promoters Danny Wimmer Presents, states, "After a tough year, with nearby lightning creating challenges for Houston Open Air 2016, we’re excited to return to the Houston area this year. As we said then – and reaffirm now – we’re committed to building an incredible rock show for the Houston rock community."

Weekend tickets will be available at the very metal price of $66.66, with individual days priced at $45 each. There will be a number of VIP options available, too. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 16, at 10AM CT at the festival's official website.
