The Midland/Odessa area has come a long way from the days of no Starbucks and only one Walmart per town. However, we are more than far behind when it comes to our food choices.  Places like Austin have more places to eat in more varieties than I personally could deal with all at once.  But then were talking restaurants on restaurants on restaurants....all I'm asking for here in our cozy neck of the woods is some friggin HEALTHY CHOICES!!!!!

I mean come on, what does a person have to do to avoid eating fried lard every day???? I am not saying I don't love my lard, cause I do, but we cant eat that every day if we are to live up to the bas ass group of people we know we are can we? No, the answer is no.

The choices I've been made privy to so far as follows, with a huge thanks to Healther Lane Peeler (of course she would know her name has the word "health" in it), Sarah Bredemeyer and Chelsea Sanchez..

Strawberry Fields - Which happens to be attached to a wholefoods market grocery type store.

Natural Foods -Now this isn't a place to go eat per say but there are plenty of healthy choices available for purchase which can be whipped up later in the comfort of your home.

360 Organics - I have had some bottled juices from there that are super fantastic.

Harvest Café - I haven't had the pleasure of eating at this place just yet but you can bet your skinny ass I will, oh yes...I will.

And last but not least, Flatbelly Organics - This place made a wise decision a long time ago to become apart of a station organized event that was geared towards the kiddos, however there was a ton of cool stuff, there was a chiropractor there giving free....spine feels for lack of the proper verbage, there was a dance troop there breaking it down, a wellness center, the police department was there with finger printing kits, and Flatbelly Organics was there with cupcakes there were damn good Gina!

After that event I knew the name and I decided to seek this place out, good thing I did they sure enough had a store with a whole plethora of goodies inside.  They have a shake called the Green Machine that rocks my taste buds off!

So there ya have it folks, not much of a list but its all we have for now.  That I know of, if you know of any other healthy type places like this let us know.
