Yes, Halestorm are working on a new album, but the band is also catching a break from the studio and keeping things fresh by playing a number of shows for the remainder of the year.

The band has booked a mixture of headlining dates and support slots for country superstar Eric Church as they continue to get some crossover love. Frontwoman Lzzy Hale has been expanding her horizons of late, lending vocals to electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling's breakout hit, 'Shatter Me' and turning up at the CMT Awards to duet with Church on his single 'That's Damn Rock & Roll.' Hale will join Stirling again on ABC's 'Good Morning America' on July 15.

Halestorm are coming off their most successful album to date as 'The Strange Case Of… ' debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums Chart. The disc also spawned the GRAMMY-winning single 'Love Bites (So Do I).' Hale and her bandmates have toured extensively in support of the album, but returned to the studio during the downtime earlier this year to begin writing for the follow-up.

Hale recently told Full Metal Jackie, "There’s always a spot, any time we make a new record, where I literally go back to Judas Priest and Motorhead because you have to. You have to go back and understand where this all started for you and keep reminding yourself of that. You can get so excited about something new and weird, but you’ve gotta try not to lose yourself in all of that."

She added, "Really, the biggest thing were trying to do on this record or the biggest difference is we’re really trying to bridge the gap between what people see live and what people hear in our records. We haven’t actually captured that yet. I’m really proud of the last two records, but I think its time to simplify and really get back to what in all honestly, what we do best [laughs]. Trying to put our best foot forward with this one."
