Guns N' Roses have confirmed Alice in Chains and Lenny Kravitz as the opening acts for their upcoming North American reunion dates.

Alice in Chains will warm up the crowds from June 23-July 3, as Slash and Duff McKagan join Axl Rose on tour together for the first time in more than two decades. Alice in Chains previously served in that same role during GNR's introductory Las Vegas concerts back in April. Kravitz, who last played with Guns N' Roses when they performed a 1992 version of his song "Always on the Run" in Paris, will then take over as the opening act for stops on July 19-20 and July 23-24.

The tour, called Not in This Lifetime ... , followed news late last year that Rose and Slash had repaired their fractured friendship, and then confirmation of the first Guns N' Roses reunion shows at Coachella. (Check out images from that appearance in the above gallery.) They later added dates in Las Vegas and Mexico before announcing  a full tour and an expanded slate of shows.

Guns N' Roses hasn't mentioned an opener yet for shows from July 27 through the closing stop on Aug. 22. Meanwhile, a hobbled-but-busy Rose is sitting in as a replacement with AC/DC. He broke his foot in a warm-up performance with GNR, and has soldiered on with a converted onstage throne originally made for Dave Grohl.

Rose, Slash and McKagan were joined by a core group of musicians that included more recent GNR veterans Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrar, as well as a new addition in keyboardist Melissa Reese. She previously worked with Bryan "Brain" Mantia, who served as Guns N' Roses' drummer from 2000-06.
