A head was found floating in the Hudson river but this time it did not belong to a mafia snitch.

The head turned out to be a seven foot replica of a Greek or Roman statue and was found by the crew team from Marist College practicing in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The crew team's captain, Matt Lavin, towed it to the bank of the river and got the help of the rest of the team to lift the piece to dry land.

The mystery remains to where the styrofoam and fiberglass head came from, but some believe it is an abandoned theater prop.

No one has come to claim ownership.
