We’re only a few months out from Game of Thrones Season 6, close enough that HBO has dropped numerous teasers and even a few scraps of footage, but still keeps deadly silent on the fate of Jon Snow. Poor Kit Harington can’t even acknowledge what we’ve all confirmed at this point either, insisting Jon Snow is dead, and “everyone has to get used to it.”

Harington recently secured a role in Jamie Lloyd’s new London production of Doctor Faustus, and as such spoke to Digital Spy of his press-shyness over the last year, particularly when it comes to Game of Thrones. Not that HBO or Game of Thrones would ever willingly acknowledge glaring spoilers of a coming season (particularly ones even the books haven’t covered), though Harington’s contractual insistence remains pretty endearing:

People didn’t want me to die, but he’s dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it. … I haven’t done Thrones in a while. I had quite a lot of time off last year. I’ve been taking it easy. And relaxing.

Yeah, no you haven’t. Granted, HBO will likely keep up the charade (and thereby order its actors to) through at least the April 24 premiere, after which we’d expect everyone to fall back on “Well, he was technically dead, we didn’t lie!” In the meantime, a hearty boop on the nose for Mr. Harington. You’re adorable.

In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere with additional teasers below, and stay tuned for April 24!
