Here in West Texas, we're already consistently in the triple digits. So you should already be prepared for the summer, but just in case you aren't, or need some extra tips, here are some.

  1. Make aloe vera ice cubes. Aloe vera already feels good on a burn, imagine if it's in ice cube form. Just make sure you don't forget and put it in your drink later.
  2. Freeze a bunch of water balloons and use them instead of ice the cooler, Then, when they've melted, you have ammo for a water balloon fight.
  3. Cut up a sponge, thread some string through it, get it wet, and then put it in the freezer. Take it out and you have a necklace to keep the kids cool.
  4. When you're at the pool or beach, hide your money in an empty tube of chapstick. Just take a stick of chapstick, push it out all the way, and wipe off the wax. You can then roll your money around plastic stick.
