Here are the four biggest things we think are right, but really they are not the right things to do while showering.

According to Good Housekeeping, here are four things you are doing wrong and how to make it right:

  1. You're not replacing your washcloth.  You should only use a washcloth three or four times before you toss it in the laundry. Also if you use a loofah, you should buy a new one once a month.
  2. You're exfoliating every day.  Over-scrubbing actually makes your skin produce more oil, which traps more dirt and bacteria.  So really you should only use exfoliating soap once or twice a week.
  3. You're brushing your teeth.  Most people who brush in the shower don't brush long enough, because they are too busy multitasking.  You're supposed to brush for a full two minutes.
  4. You're using super-hot water.  It can dry out your skin, so you should take warm showers, not hot ones.

There are your tips for better showering.
