Each installment of the Fast & Furious franchise finds some way to top its predecessors, whether it’s dropping cars out of planes or driving them in, through or across buildings. The development meetings for these movies must be filled with all kinds of crazy ideas, and you can see two of those concepts play out in a couple of new videos from the set of Fast 8. If you were wondering when we might see Fast & Furious on ice, that time is now (or next spring, when the film hits theaters).

First up is this official video from the set of Fast 8, which has been filming a fairly ambitious sequence in Iceland. It sort of looks like someone brilliantly asked, “What if we put Fury Road on ice?” The results — as you can see above — are pretty impressive. And now the Fast & Furious team can check “ice” off of their presumably insane to-do list.

It appears that the Fast 8 crew is simultaneously filming in Cleveland, as evidenced by this video captured by a fan (via Collider). In it, you can see cars being dropped out of a parking garage:

But, like, how? All this stuff looks awesome, but it’ll be even cooler when we find out exactly why the crew is racing across Iceland with tanks and snowmobiles, and what caused all those cars to just launch out of a building like that.

In addition to the usual crew, Fast 8 features Charlize Theron as a new villain and Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju as her henchman, with Jason Statham and Kurt Russell reprising their roles from previous films. F. Gary Gray is directing the sequel, which hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
